Bread is mainly made up of flour and water, so it is not necessarily caloric. However, it is generally considered responsible for weight gain. Being starchy, it is a slow sugar. Eating bread in the morning helps to endure until lunch time and to avoid “chunks and bites” between meals.

As a nutritionist I can say that it is much more that is put in bread, what we make it accompany that makes us fat. It is all a matter of food reeducation and changing behavioral habits that allow us to live more years with better health..
