The Liposhaper® treatment is not a liposuction, but it works just the same way, as it decreases the number of fat cells in the body but without the inconvenience of the surgical procedure (anesthesia, cuts, pain and recovering time), and not damaging the skin, the blood vessels or the peripheral nerves.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

In the beginning Clínica do Tempo® only made available the Liposhaper® MAX treatment using two ultra-sounds with distinctive frequencies to get rid of localised fat.

This action makes the fat fall into the lymphatic system, where it is quickly eliminated. Its double action allows treating simultaneously different sorts and levels of fat.

But recently we have introduced the Liposhaper® REV treatment that combines the use of two different technologies:  focused ultra-sounds with distinctive frequencies and a low-density laser that weakens the fat cells membrane structure allowing the fat to drain into the interstitial space, the empty space existing between cells. This new treatment can eliminate a larger quantity of fat in less time, becoming more comfortable to clients during the whole treatment procedure.

WHAT’S THE LIPOSHAPER® FOR AND HOW THE FAT IS ELIMINATED?

It is made for removing the excess of fat and to model the body contour in specific areas such as the waist, the thighs, the hips, the knees and back.

Before the treatment, the adipocytes, or fat cells, are full of fat (reserves). The Liposhaper® technology weakens the adipocyte’s membrane, and the fat elimination that was made available from this action, occurs by means of the body natural combustion process that will use those reserves as a form of energy.

The path of elimination is much the same as in a simple slimming procedure, no fat being collected in the blood or the liver.

To get rid of localised fat in a healthy way and no need of a surgical intervention can be possible with the Liposhaper® treatment, providing that all received directions are observed.

IS THERE A RISK OF FAT EMBOLISM?

No. Fat Embolism occurs when fat cells agglomerates get in the blood stream due to a trauma, typically after a long bones fracture. With the LIPOSHAPER® treatment triglycerides are firstly processed by the lymphatic system where they are transformed by lipases into free fat acids before they enter the blood stream, thus not existing any risk of Fat Embolism.

IS IT SAFE?

Yes. The Liposhaper® treatment is totally painless and non-invasive and normal activities may continue immediately upon its execution.

Clinical blood test and urine confirm the fat elimination with total safety, without cholesterol increase and triglycerides.

There is no adverse side-effect related to the treatment.
