Muscle and fat are different tissues and you cannot change one to the other, although you can change their relative proportions. Physical exercise leads to an increase in muscle mass and a decrease in fat mass: but one has not changed into the other, one has just become more and the other less. Therefore, if on holidays you do not train so hard, don’t worry, muscle does not turn to fat on cessation of exercise!
