UVA AND UVB
TIP OF THE DAY from our Nutritionist Dr. Tomás Barbosa:
Photoaging is the early aging of skin due to sun exposure in excess. Ultraviolet B rays (UVB) damage the upper layers of the skin, weakening it, preventing cell renewal and causing stains of pigment cells. Ultraviolet A rays act deep in the skin destroying the elastic fibres and reducing collagen that support the skin, resulting the appearance of wrinkles.
