Much is said of the relationship between health and food. But, feeding correctly has benefits in that you may not have thought of, especially if you want to or are thinking about having a baby. In fact, maintaining a proper weight and having a diet rich in cereals, fruits, legumes and monounsaturated fats, such as olive oil, makes easier to get pregnant.

There are already two international studies, an American and another Dutch, which state that a proper diet promotes regular ovulation and makes it easier to get pregnant.

There are already two international studies, an American and another Dutch, which state that a proper diet promotes regular ovulation and makes it easier to get pregnant. This does not refer only to women, since a balanced diet also favors men in terms of fertility.

It has been proven that fertility also decreases in women with obesity, in which the body mass index (BMI) exceeds 29 and the studies state that each point of BMI higher than considered normal, which oscillates between 18 and 25, leads to a decrease of four percent on the possibility of getting pregnant.

It is important to maintain the correct weight for reasons that go beyond aesthetics, especially for women who want to be mothers, since when the body mass index reaches 40 the possibility of getting pregnant, drops to almost half.
