FOOD ALLERGY OR INTOLERANCE

By: | Tags: | Comments: 0 | December 18th, 2024

A food allergy is different from food intolerance. A food allergy involves an immune system response, while food intolerance does not.
A person with a food intolerance cannot properly digest a substance in certain foods, often because they have an enzyme deficiency. A food allergy is not related to an enzyme deficiency. Food allergy is not related to that deficiency, being as a rule a genetic issue.
Food allergy symptoms appear soon after eating the food, while food intolerance symptoms appear later.
The Clínica do Tempo® Orthomolecular Check-Up comprises the Food-Allergy Profile that determines which food, food compounds and preservatives that may cause hypersensitivity, intolerance or food allergy on the human being.
This exam is very important to get the fastest and most efficient results with the Food Reeducation and Behavioural program and Body Modelling by Clínica do Tempo®, that enables an individualisation of the alimentary regime and weight and localised fat excess reduction, at any age, in a healthy and permanent way.
