It's season starts precisely in Autumn. You must choose it ripe, otherwise it may leave a rough taste in your mouth, and rather unpleasant one.
It tastes sweet and perfumed, it's texture is a bit jelly-like, and should be eaten with a spoon.
Persimmon are basically made of water, they are rich on betacarotene and vitamin C, good antioxidants, with some vitamins B1, B2 and B3.
