Les jus ou les fruits

Juice or fruit?

Of course the whole fruit is always better, but everything depends on the juice we are talking about. The nectars, for example, have levels of fruit in the order of 50%, by law, but they also have added sugar which makes them harmful to slimming regimes or to a general balanced diet. If drunk once in a while they do not harm to our figure, but they must always be consumed with moderation.

Then we have the juices made from concentrate fruit called 100% juice, but which are not actually made from squeezed fruit and that are drinks to which are added preservatives and flavour additives, although in terms of concentrated fruit the content is superior to nectars, also made from these concentrates.

Really 100% juices from squeezed fruit that exist in some supermarkets are the best, but can also have added sugars, are rarer and are more expensive.

There's a study saying that the consumption of fruit juice is an ally against Alzheimer's disease, but we should always consider the fresh juices, freshly squeezed. This can usually be done at home, because the establishments  that sell juices prepare them in advance, early in the day, and do not squezze the fruit to serve it immediately (with the exception of places that sell freshly squeezed orange juice), and this leads to the deterioration of several vitamins.

Drink fresh juices, but also eat whole fruit, to take advantage of the essential fiber.
